Bethesda Softworks has revealed details about how gamers will be able to transfer their accounts to the digital distribution platform Steam.
The fact that Bethesda has decided to abandon its own PC louncer became known at the end of February 2022. Then it was reported that Bethesda users will be able to move their games and wallet to their Steam account at the beginning of April. However, today the company announced that the “move” will be able to start later – from April 27.
As the developers emphasize, all Bethesda.net products will be available to gamers on Steam for free. All purchases will be transferred to the Steam account. In many cases the transfer will extend to saved games as well, but you may need to copy the files manually to do so.
Beginning in May, gamers will lose the ability to use the Bethesda.net Launcher to access games.
