Xiaomi plans to announce a number of flagships in the second half of the year, including the Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro. These models were previously supposed to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus single-chip system, but now new information has emerged.
The information was shared by the resource Xiaomiui, which reports that the Xiaomi 12S Pro will be based on the Dimensity 9000 single-chip system. Speaking of the novelty, the publication calls it the Xiaomi 12S Pro Dimensity 9000 Edition. This suggests that the smartphone will be available in versions with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus and Dimensity 9000.
Supposedly, the Xiaomi 12S Pro and its younger version (Xiaomi 12S) could go on sale in late July or August this year. The source reports that the smartphones will not be released on the world market and will remain exclusive to China.
According to a reputable source Digital Chat Station, the brand has also prepared a Max version of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. In terms of specifications, the device will be similar to the Xiaomi 12 Pro, but will get a larger screen of unknown diagonal.
Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, recently published a post on Weibo in which he confirmed that new Redmi Note series smartphones are being prepared for release. The Redmi executive noted that the company will stick to its strategy of releasing two series of Note devices during the year. Thus, the Redmi Note 12 family smartphones will debut in the current half of the year, while the Redmi Note 13 devices can be expected in the second half of 2022.
