Ukraine allowed to marry through Zoom

Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Valeria Kolomiets reported that the authorities have allowed marriages in the country to be performed remotely, including through Zoom. This measure will be in effect during martial law, which was imposed throughout Ukraine on February 24, and on March 26, the Rada extended it for another 30 days.

“People who have expressed their desire can get married within a day. Marriage registration can take place at any civil registry office on the territory where there are no hostilities. In certain circumstances, marriages may be registered not only by civil registry officials, but also by police and military personnel. This is relevant for lovers who are on duty, they can be connected remotely just through Zoom”, – said Valeria Kolomiets.
