TWS headphones with water protection, large speakers and an impressive price. Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX will cost $400

Bang & Olufsen has unveiled what it claims are its most versatile wireless noise-canceling headphones to date. We should add that these are fully wireless headphones (TWS; True Wireless Stereo).

The convenience of the novelty has yet to be tested, and this is an individual question, but the price is definitely high, if you compare the Beoplay EX model with the top competitors. The novelty costs 400 dollars, and it is much more than they ask for the Apple AirPods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM4.

The press release about the headphones is full of epithets, but if we talk about the parameters, the first thing to note is the use of 9.2 mm radiators. These are the biggest transducers that B&O has ever used for this kind of headphones. Besides, the battery life is pretty good: 6 hours for the headphones themselves and 20 hours including the case. And that’s with an active noise cancelling function.

The company also focuses on speech quality, which is supposed to be top-notch in the headphones. Given the presence of three microphones in each headphone, this is believable.

Of the rest, we can mention Bluetooth 5.2 support and full water and dust protection (IP57).
