A year ago, Toyota Motor Company unveiled the bZ4X electric crossover, which has now reached the production stage and is ready to appear on the European market.
Buyers are offered a single-engine version with front-wheel drive and a two-engine version that features an all-wheel drive system. The first version with the engine on the front axle has 204 hp and a battery capacity of 71.4 kWh, which is enough for 516 km on the WLTP cycle. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.4 seconds and the top speed is limited at 160 km/h. The car supports fast charging (from 0 to 80% in half an hour).
The all-wheel-drive Toyota bZ4X is slightly more powerful (the two motors have a combined power of 217 hp), the battery in this model is the same, with a range of 470 km. The car in this configuration is more dynamic and can exchange the first “hundred” for 7.7. The maximum speed is limited by the same 160 km/h.
The Toyota bZ4X is based on Toyota’s own e-TNGA architecture, and Subaru, which produces a similar model under its own brand called the Solterra, was responsible for the powertrain.
The Toyota bZ4X is already available for pre-order starting at 60,000 euros, with sales starting this summer.
