Elon Musk revealed that the number of users of the beta version of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) autopilot feature has exceeded 100,000 people.
Recall, this is a new version of the driver assistance system, which features increased autonomy. Just six months ago, only about 2,000 Tesla car owners had access to FSD, and the overall beta version was launched in October 2020.
Musk also acknowledged that he has often been wrong in his predictions about the arrival of full autopilot in Tesla cars, but this year is the year it will happen. However, the technical side of the issue is only one of two problems. The second is the relevant legislation.
However, it is worth saying that such a huge number of users of the FSD function will undoubtedly have an extremely positive impact on its development, as developers will get orders of magnitude more data.
