The world’s first smart watch capable of diving to a depth of 30 meters. Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro certified for diving

We’ve written before about Huawei’s new smart watch, the Watch GT 3 Pro, and now there’s a very interesting detail about it. The company has published an official teaser image that focuses on the extraordinary water resistance of the Watch GT 3 Pro.

Most of the smart watch is certified to the ISO22810 standard, as evidenced by the 5ATM marking. This means you can swim with the watch, but it is not advisable to dive. Rare models are certified to IEC 60529-2013 (marking IP68) – such devices can withstand immersion to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. But with the Watch GT 3 Pro, Huawei has gone even further.

The teaser indicates that the new product meets the EN13319 standard for diving accessories. In this particular case, it refers to the ability to dive to a depth of 30 meters. As noted, the watch has undergone about 200 tests “to achieve the water resistance required for divers.”

What else is known about the Watch GT 3 Pro? The watch will get a titanium case, HarmonyOS as a software platform, and the ability to record ECG. The maximum autonomy will be 14 days.

The Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro will officially premiere on April 28. On the same day, Huawei will present many other interesting things: we are waiting for the unusual foldable flagship Mate Xs 2, fitness bracelet Band 7, Smart Screen V Pro TVs with Super Mini-LED panels. And this is probably not a complete list of new products.
