Vivo unveiled its first foldable X Fold smartphone today, and it became available for pre-order in China today. However, not everyone who wanted to order the novelty had time: the entire volume of smartphones available for pre-order was sold out in just one minute!
On the one hand, Vivo was very broad in its introduction of the X Fold – pre-orders were available on the official website, JD.com, TMall, and other venues. On the other hand, the smartphone is not cheap: the base version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of flash memory is priced at $1,415, the cost of the top (with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of flash memory) – $1,570. But as you can see, the high cost has not deterred.
The Vivo X Fold, recall, is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, endowed with two 120Hz OLED screens (6.53-inch outdoor, 8.03-inch indoor), a Zeiss camera with 50, 48, 12 and 8 MP sensors (with 5x optical zoom and OIS), and a 4,600 mAh battery with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
