Motorola is about to unveil a new Razr series flagship clamshell phone, which goes by the code name Maven. A source has published live photos of the new device.
The Motorola Razr (Maven) smartphone looks a bit like last year’s Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 thanks to a dual primary camera on the outside of the case. The fingerprint scanner is now located on the side, it is built into the power button.
The main camera will have a 50-megapixel image sensor and a lens with an aperture of F/1.8. Additionally, there is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, which can be used for macro photography. For selfies, there is a 32-megapixel camera located in a hole in the bendable screen.
The Motorola Razr (Maven) will be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system. The device is also expected to come in another version with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. The phone will be available with 8/12GB of RAM and 256/512GB of flash memory.
The leak only mentions that the main foldable screen will have Full HD+ resolution, but there’s no mention of the size of the internal and external displays. There’s also no mention of the device’s battery capacity.
The device is expected to go on sale in Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue color options. It will probably be launched in China in late July or early August, after which it will appear in global markets.
