The four-year-old flagship Huawei Mate 10 unexpectedly received a huge update

Huawei has begun distributing a stable version of its proprietary EMUI 12 shell for its honored veteran flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 10, on the international market.

This turned out to be an unexpected move on the part of the manufacturer. Last month, Huawei started testing EMUI 12 for the Mate 10 Pro (review), and for the Huawei Mate 10 there was no beta testing at all.

The stable EMUI 12 update for the Huawei Mate 10 is released with build number (C432E2R1P1) and contains a huge 4.17GB download package.

After installing EMUI 12, the user interface of the Huawei Mate 10 will be completely redesigned and improved compared to the previous version of the shell. Recall that EMUI 12 is inspired by Huawei’s proprietary operating system, HarmonyOS, adopting from it a number of interface features and functions.

EMUI 12 includes a new user interface, improved animations, a font thickness adjustment tool, a separate control panel with Huawei Device+, Huawei Share, MeeTime and more.
