Wuling Motors has registered its new electric car, the AirEV, with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The local regulator always publishes live photos of the objects entered in the database, and this gives a good insight into what the AirEV is.
This is what the four-seat Wuling AirEV looks like
As you can see, it is still a compact electric car, in the spirit of Hongguang Mini EV. Wuling AirEV will have two versions, with a wheelbase of 1,635mm and 2010mm. Accordingly, in the first case, the electric car is designed for two people, in the second – for four. In the “stretched” version, there are additional windows at the back. Accordingly, the dimensions of the short version – 2599 x 1505 x 1631 mm, “long” – 2974 x 1505 x 1631 mm.

The range is not reported yet, but there is power data. The short version uses an electric motor with 41 hp, the “long” version – 68 hp. We can think that the top version on a single charge will travel at least 200 km, like the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Gameboy.
No prices yet, but we can think that the cost of the AirEV will be about the same as the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV.
