Chinese automaker Great Wall has confirmed the imminent release in Russia of a new Tank 700 SUV, which will be the little brother of the Tank 800 luxury SUV that was patented last week.
If the Tank 800 is called a competitor to the Lexus LX and Cadillac Escalade, the Tank 700 is positioned as a replacement for the Gelandwagen, as indicated by its chopped shapes. In this case, the designers cannot be accused of blatant plagiarism.
The car will get a 3-liter 6Z30 six-cylinder turbo engine with 354 hp and 500 Nm of torque, as well as a 9-speed automatic.
The Tank 700 car is predicted to have a fully independent suspension, all-wheel-drive transmission with three differentials, 22-inch wheels, and a four-seat interior.
The Tank brand was introduced last March, under which the parent Great Wall will produce only frame SUVs. So far, the Tank 300 and Tank 500 have been released, but at least four more models with the indices of 400, 600, 700 and 800 are planned.
