TerraMaster F2-423 and F4-423 NAS introduced

TerraMaster has introduced the F2-423 and F4-423 NAS with two and four drive bays, respectively. The bays can accommodate 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives. According to the manufacturer, it is the entry level storage for professional users and small businesses. The advantages of F2-423 and F4-423 include high performance, easy integration into the working IT-infrastructure and the ability to expand by connecting drives to USB ports.

The F2-423 and F4-423 are based on Celeron N5105 and N5095 quad-core processors running at 2.0-2.9 GHz. They are equipped with hardware encryption and 4K video codecs. The new NASs are claimed to outperform their predecessors by 50 percent at high loads. The storages come with 4GB of RAM as a single SO-DIMM module. The maximum capacity supported is 32 GB (two 16 GB modules each).

When describing the new NAS, it is impossible not to mention the presence of two 2.5GbE ports with aggregation support. Actual data transfer speeds of up to 283MB/s can be achieved (with 18TB Seagate IronWolf HDDs combined in RAID 0).

Equipment also includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) ports, an HDMI output and an M.2 slot with a PCIe3.0 x1 interface.

In Russia, the TerraMaster F2-423 and F4-423 storage units are offered for around 50,000 and 65,000 rubles, respectively.
