Samsung started selling refurbished Galaxy S21 with a significant discount

Samsung Electronics has begun offering remanufactured Galaxy S21s through its Re-Newed store.

The Samsung Re-Newed store itself has been in operation for years, and as of today, it opened accepting pre-orders for last year’s flagship Galaxy S21 series of smartphones.

The base model Galaxy S21 with 128GB of storage is offered for $675, $124 below the current recommended retail price for the new smartphone), the Galaxy S21+ 128GB costs $850 ($149 cheaper), and the Galaxy S21 Ultra 128GB costs $1,000 ($200 cheaper). Notably, the Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition) is not yet available in refurbished form.

Samsung’s Re-Newed program offers used smartphones with a new battery and IMEI number, pre-installed fresh versions of software and a “132-point quality check by Samsung factory engineers.” The upgraded devices are covered by the same 1-year warranty as new devices.
