According to Kommersant, Russian authorities have asked airlines for information on the necessary spare parts and consumables for foreign-made aircraft. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is studying the possibility of producing them in Russia.
Oleg Bocharov, deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, sent a corresponding letter to Deputy Minister of Transport Igor Chalik on April 14. He addressed the request to Rosaviatsia, and this agency to the airlines.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Agency for Technological Development will assess the possibility of producing spare parts. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is requesting that at least five original parts be “attached” to the answers for 3D scanning, examination of the material composition and determination of the strength properties of the product. The ministry notes that it has previously requested data on the necessary parts, but the answers did not fit – they are printouts from accounting or logistics programs, and they cannot be used to assess the possibility of launching production in Russia.
