As it became known, after a successful first quarter, which KAMAZ finished “in the plus,” in April production fell by 15% with 3,803 machine sets produced.
This decrease was expected due to the earlier decision made by the company’s management to reduce the daily conveyor rate to 180 units per day, based on an assessment of the market situation and prevention of overstocking of the company’s warehouses.
In the first four months of the year, KAMAZ shipped 15,201 finished vehicles, chassis, assembly and repair kits to its direct customers, special equipment partners, assembly plants and repair units. This is 6.6% more than during the same period last year, when 14,258 products were shipped.
The company’s engine plant produced and delivered 3,929 engines and powertrains to automakers and its third-party customers in April, down 18% from a year earlier. For the four-month period, deliveries rose 5.4% to 16,365 units.
“KAMAZ shipped parts worth 2.99 billion rubles in April (-6.5%) and 10.88 billion rubles in the four months of 2022 (+9.9%).
