Profit of Russian chip developer Elvis decreased by 100 times

The financial results of the Russian microcircuit developer Zelenograd Research and Production Center “Electronic Computing and Information Systems” (JSC NPC Elvis) in the past year have been published.

According to the source, the company’s revenue for 2021 was 1.1 billion rubles, which is 55% lower than it was a year earlier (2.4 billion rubles). The company’s profit decreased about 100 times: at year-end it was 2.5 million rubles, while a year ago it was 237.1 million rubles. At the same time, the company’s balance has more than doubled, from 3 billion to 8.5 billion rubles. Elvis could not comment on the financial indicators.

Elvis has been awarded 138 state contracts totaling 9.4 billion rubles. There is one state contract worth 390.6 million rubles with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2021. In early April, it became known that Elvis-Neotech (a joint project of Rusnano and Elvis) is selling the rights to a next-generation multi-core microprocessor chip for video and image processing, VIP-1, made at TSMC 40nm. The starting price is set at 470 million rubles.
