All Russian schools will be connected to the federal state information system “My School” from January 1, 2023, under which educational institutions will be able to use analogues of programs from Microsoft. This was announced today by Sergey Kravtsov, head of the Russian Ministry of Education.
“This system will have all the tools you use, analogues of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, all those mechanisms, capabilities that Microsoft Office has now, but these are fully domestic developments, they will even in some ways exceed those capabilities that Microsoft has,” the minister said. The Minister also noted that “My School” includes the video conferencing system “Sphereum”, social networks, and libraries of verified content.
