It’s not just the GeForcE RTX 3090 Ti that can cost well over $2,000. Radeon RX 6950 XT hits the store floor for the first time with a price of $2,400

As you know, AMD is expected to unveil updated Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards soon, including the top-of-the-line RX 6950 XT.

And while the regular RX 6900 XT is now available at around the recommended price, and in some stores you can see the recommended price, the newcomer can’t boast that yet.

The first RX 6950 XT to show up at retailers is offered for $2,400. That is more than twice the price of the usual RX 6900 XT. Although, if we are guided only by the specified seller, the novelty is more expensive by about 70-80%. About the same amount in the same store they ask for GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

In this case we’re talking about the Gigabyte model, with the name saying it’s the RX 6900 XT, but the nomenclature (and price) indicate otherwise.

Of course, these are the first prices that sellers inflate if there hasn’t been an announcement yet. But the mere fact that such prices are available is certainly not pleasing.

Recall, the RX 6950 XT is expected to differ from the RX 6900 XT first of all by increased to 18 GHz memory frequency. Also, probably, the GPU frequencies will be slightly increased.
