According to Newzoo, last year cloud gaming brought in about $1.5 billion for companies, and the number of users of paid subscriptions reached 21.7 million.
Analysts believe that in 2024 the number of gamers will reach 58.6 million, and they will spend about $6.3 billion. That is, the number of gamers paying for subscriptions will increase less than threefold, but they will spend more than four times as much money.
Despite a fairly tangible growth rate, it’s worth realizing that the entire gaming industry earned $201 billion last year, and it’s projected to reach $435 billion by 2028. So last year, cloud services accounted for less than 1% of revenue.
