Biostar has introduced the Z690A-Silver motherboard, built on the Intel Z690 system logic kit and designed for Intel’s 12th generation Core processors in LGA 1700.
In the description of the board size ATX, the manufacturer highlights the presence of PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slot. In addition, there is a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot working in x4 mode and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. The board has four slots for DDR4 DIMM memory modules. The memory capacity can be up to 128GB. Modules up to DDR4-5000+ (OC) are supported. Such memory frequency is provided due to support of Intel XMP overclocking profiles.
As for the drive connection, eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and three M.2 slots are used for this. Two of the slots have a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, the third slot has PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6Gbit/s.
Equipment also includes a 2.5GbE port on a Realtek RTL8125B controller, an eight-channel (7.1) sound subsystem on a Realtek ALC1220 codec, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports, five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and six USB 2.0 ports. In addition, there is one HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort and DVI-D video output each.
