Representatives of car dealerships that offer to bring custom cars from the UAE and Dubai say that private exports have not yet been affected by the bans. There is a significant demand for such cars on the market, helped by the decline in exchange rates and a certain adaptation to the current circumstances.
In Dubai or the UAE, cars can cost 20-30% less than in Russia. The intermediary estimates the cost of picking up the car, checking it out, and doing the paperwork at $1,000. The delivery by sea via Germany and Lithuania is paid for separately.
At the same time, experts warn that such cars are not always suitable for the Russian climate, and potential buyers should take this into account. Almost all manufacturers have a so-called “northern package” for countries with cold climates. The cars from hot countries have more powerful air conditioning and recirculation system. The trim materials in such cars are also significantly different.
