Google has released an Android Auto update for all users

Google has begun distributing a new version of the Android Auto platform. Previously Android Auto 7.5 was tested in beta version, and now the stable variation is available for all users.

As reviewers disappointedly note, the stable version of Android Auto 7.5 lacks the new Coolwalk interface that is expected to launch.

The major changes are “under the hood,” with no visible improvements for users. Among other things, the update lays the groundwork for a new diagnostic tool that detects the health of USB cables. However, this feature is not yet available to ordinary users, remaining inactive. Google itself has not yet released an official list of changes to the release.

The launch of the redesigned Coolwalk interface can be expected in summer test versions.
