According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), the Gorky Automobile Plant sold 2,886 light commercial vehicles in March this year, down 36% from March last year. But at the end of the quarter, sales fell only 5% to 9,337 vehicles.
The GAZelle remains the sales leader in March this year with a result of 2,274 vehicles sold, sales down 39%. GAZ Sobol sales totaled 612 cars, down 22% from a year earlier.
The line of new generation commercial vehicles GAZelle NN, which today includes a flatbed version, all-metal van with a GVW of 3.5 tonnes, a combi van and a minibus, will be supplemented with chassis and various special equipment options in the future. This will allow to create a large range of light commercial vehicles with GVW of 3.5 and 4.6 tons, with different types of bodies, wheel bases and options of special equipment.
The NN family will also include the Sobol NN light commercial vehicle with a GVW of 2.5 tons, which is planned to be presented at the Comtrans 2021 international exhibition.
