Folding smartphones with flexible screens no longer surprise anyone. But laptops with such displays are still very rare. HP is reportedly preparing such a device.

This has come to light because SK IE Technology has announced that it will supply transparent polyimide film, which is used as a screen cover in foldable laptops. In this case the supply will be for HP laptops.
SK IE Technology will be the exclusive supplier of such products to HP. In this case, it will supply its products to LG Display, which will apply such a film to its flexible OLED screens, and then these panels will be sent to the assemblers of HP laptops.
The mobile PC will reportedly get a 17-inch OLED display that will be 11 inches when folded. The source talks about the delivery of only about 10,000 units, which means that HP will produce exactly that number of laptops. This is very small against the background of somehow classic models, but so far it is more of an experimental device. It is expected that the novelty of HP will be presented at the end of this year or early next year.
