Chery launches all-wheel-drive Tiggo 8 Pro Max in Russia next week

Chinese automaker Chery has announced details about the upcoming launch of the all-wheel-drive Tiggo 8 Pro Max crossover in Russia.


The official presentation of the Tiggo 8 Pro Max in Russia is scheduled for April 22, 2022. As noted by the press service, during the online broadcast will be announced the start of sales of this anticipated novelty in Russia. The broadcast will begin at 14:00 Moscow time. At the same time will be disclosed the official details of the equipment, announced the price and marketing programs.

As previously reported, Chery has already received permission to release in Russia a four-wheel drive version of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max crossover. The vehicle has the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA).

The Tiggo 8 Pro Max originally debuted in China last fall as the Chery Tiggo 8 Plus Kunpeng Edition. The Russian version according to preliminary data will receive a 2.0-liter turbo TGDI engine of new generation with reduced power – from 254 hp and 390 Nm to 197 hp and 375 Nm, a seven-speed robotized transmission and will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and axial speed of 195 km/h.
