“Beeline allowed iPhone owners to call via Wi-Fi

Operator VimpelCom (Beeline brand) announced the launch of a new service for users of Apple smartphones. Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) service became available for iPhone owners.

Previously, Beeline’s VoWiFi could only be used by owners of smartphones with the Android operating system. The technology allows making and receiving voice calls over Wi-Fi networks, in places where the mobile network signal is weak. As the operator notes, the smartphone itself chooses the best wireless technology (Wi-Fi or cellular network), through which it will make a voice call.

VoWiFi is free, the calls are billed as regular voice calls and are included in the tariff’s minute packages. To connect the service on your iPhone, you need to update your software to at least iOS 15.2, go to “Settings” – “Cellular” – “VoWiFi Calls”.
