AMOLED, 2K, 120Hz, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Dimensity 9000, periscope camera, Zeiss optics and 80W. Vivo X80 Pro unveiled

Chinese company Vivo today unveiled its new flagship smartphone, the Vivo X80 Pro.


Vivo X80 Pro is offered to Chinese users in two versions – based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or MediaTek Dimensity 9000. The available variations are:

  • Vivo X80 Pro, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8GB RAM and 256GB of built-in flash memory – $839
  • Vivo X80 Pro, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 12GB RAM and 256GB of built-in flash memory – $915
  • Vivo X80 Pro, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 12GB RAM and 512GB of built-in flash memory – $1,022
  • Vivo X80 Pro, Dimensity 9000, 12GB RAM and 256GB of built-in flash memory – $915
  • Vivo X80 Pro, Dimensity 9000, 12GB RAM and 512GB of built-in flash memory – $1,022

Sales start April 29 for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-based version, and May 5 for the Dimensity 9000-based version.


The smartphone features a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 2K (3,200 x 1,440 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch layer polling rate, a sub-screen fingerprint scanner, a 32MP front-facing camera, main camera with Zeiss optics (50-megapixel main module with optical stabilization, 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 12-megapixel portrait, as well as 8-megapixel periscopic module with OIS and 5x optical zoom), LPDDR5 RAM and UFS flash memory 3.1.


The 4,700mAh battery supports 80W wired fast charging (38 minutes from 0 to 100%), 50W wireless (50 minutes from 0 to 100%), and 10W wireless charging for other devices. Also noted are the Vivo V1+ proprietary image processor, stereo speakers, NFC, USB 3.1, water and dust protection (IP68).
