AMD hasn’t released any new desktop CPUs to compete with Intel’s Alder Lake because the Ryzen 7000 should be out soon. In the meantime, the company is slashing prices on the Ryzen 5000.
Now prices have fallen in all major networks in the U.S., that is, we are talking about an initiative on the part of AMD.
As a result, the 16-core Ryzen 9 5950X can be bought for just $540-$550, making it a great buy. The 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X is being asked for $395, the Ryzen 7 5800X will cost $330, and the folksy Ryzen 5 5600X is only $210-230 right now.
With prices like that, AMD CPUs are capable of competing with Intel’s new products, even though they came out a year and a half ago.
