Volkswagen Group Rus, the official manufacturer of Skoda on the Russian market, has launched a voluntary recall program in Russia. It was announced by the press service of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart).
1,824 Skoda Kodiaq cars sold in 2021 are subject to recall. The reason for the recall was the stickers with the wrong vehicle type approval number.
Company representatives are to inform by mail or phone the owners of vehicles subject to the recall of the need to bring the vehicle to the nearest dealership for “repair work” – replacing the decals.
At the same time, owners can determine for themselves whether their vehicle falls under the recall. To do this, it is necessary to check the vehicle’s VIN on the Rosstandart website or in a special service on the Auto.ru website.
