Aerospace Innovation Valley to be built in Russia

Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the creation of the Innovation Science and Technology Center (ISTC) “Aerospace Innovation Valley”, whose main areas of activity will be aerospace, biomedical and information technology, as well as electronics and radio engineering.

The Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) and the regional government have initiated the creation of such a center, which will be built in the Ryazan region. INTC resident companies will develop advanced technologies, unique materials and new types of products.

According to the forecast, “Aerospace Innovation Valley” will create 2.8 thousand new jobs and by 2031 will increase tax revenues to the budget of the Ryazan region by 5.6 billion rubles.

More than 30 companies have already expressed their desire to take part in the INTC, these companies are doing more than 60 innovative projects. In particular, interest was expressed by the United Aircraft Corporation, Almaz-Antey, Roscosmos and JSC “Tactical Rocket Arms Corporation”.
