“Aeroflot” with other companies of the group (“Pobeda” and “Russia”), as well as “Ural Airlines” will switch to the Russian booking system. It was announced by the state corporation Rostec, which is one of the developers of the system. It is planned that Aeroflot will switch to Russian software in summer.
The software was developed by Rostec and Sirena Travel. It will not only replace foreign booking services, the use of which carries risks for the industry, but will protect passengers’ personal data.
The state corporation specified that in addition to the main system, a backup has been created for emergency connection of airlines in case foreign suppliers refuse to fulfill their obligations at one time. “Emergency connection is possible in the shortest possible time – within 24 hours,” the state corporation points out.
According to Rostec, more than 50 airlines have already become users of the domestic system, including Red Wings, Aurora, Rusline, Yamal, UTair and Alrosa with a total of more than 40 million passengers served.
