Adobe has updated its professional video editing software After Effects to include built-in support for Apple M1 single-chip systems.
The official promotional video claims that on the latest Apple Macs based on the Apple M1 the After Effects software runs several times faster than on the Intel-powered iMac Pro.
Computers based on the Apple M1 promise a twofold increase in rendering performance and overall application response speed. If you take the latest Apple M1 Ultra platform, however, After Effects will run up to 3 times faster. One particular way Adobe After Effects is optimized is with multi-frame rendering, which uses all available Apple Silicon cores to provide playback 4 times faster than the high-performance iMac Pro with a 10-core Intel Xeon processor.
The latest version of After Effects will be available to users in the coming days. Adobe also announced several other new features for After Effects and Premiere Pro, such as scene editing detection and Artificial Intelligence-based Auto Color.
