Geely has officially unveiled the all-new Emgrand sedan in its home market in China. The Geely Emgrand L Thor Hi-X has become larger, more solid inside, and has also replaced the conventional internal combustion engine with one of the most advanced hybrid systems, due to which it can now compete with the famous Japanese hybrids.
The Geely Emgrand L Thor Hi-X is equipped with a 1.5 turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection, as well as a three-speed DHT Pro transmission and a traction battery, on which in pure electric mode it can travel up to 100 km.
The maximum mileage on one tank reaches 1,300 km/h, the average fuel consumption is only 3.8 liters per 100 km. At the same time, the dynamics is quite decent: the car accelerates to 100 km per hour in 6.9 seconds. It is important to note that the Geely Emgrand L Thor Hi-X is a plug-in hybrid, so when driving short distances, its operation will not differ from that of an electric car.
The dimensions of the Geely Emgrand L Thor Hi-X are 4,735 x 1,815 x 1,478 mm and the wheelbase is 2,700 mm long. The cabin has everything you need, including a 10.25-inch screen in the instrument cluster and a second 12.3-inch display mounted in the center of the front panel. The car also supports firmware updates to the information and multimedia system over the air. Pricing is not yet available, but similar models cost about $25,000 in China.
